On November, 28, 2012 Wolff Mechanical Inc. was recognized by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) as a participant in the Quality Assured (QA) Program. This program recognizes professional heating ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) companies that install heating and cooling systems in support of the ENERGY STAR for Qualified New Homes program. The new ENERGY STAR® version 3.0 requires HVAC systems to be installed to the ANSI/ACCA 5 Quality Installation (QI) Standard.

Only QA Contractors are authorized to submit proposals for new homes intended for ENERGY STAR qualification completed in 2012.

For ENERGY STAR new homes, heating and cooling systems that are installed by Wolff Mechanical Inc, will be validated by specially trained Raters from the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET). This will substantiate that the heating and cooling system meets the industry installation standard.

Wolff Mechanical, has agreed to implement business practices to consistently achieve the level of workmanship required by the QI Standard. In addition, Wolff Mechanical Inc employs technicians certified by the North American Technician Excellence.

Jon Passe, Acting Manager for ENERGY STAR’s Residential Branch, said, “The efficiency gains from heating and cooling equipment are ultimately dependent on the installing HVAC professional.  When developing the new ENERGY STAR for Homes guidelines, we believed it was critical that contractors installing systems in these high-performing homes be able to demonstrate that they have the knowledge, skills, and company policies to effectively deliver quality installed systems.  The QA Program allows contractors to show that they can get the job done right and provide buyers of ENERGY STAR qualified homes with comfort, efficiency, and savings.”
